EKO! Eko! eko!

EKO! Eko! eko! is a real time audio fx for the Playdate. Use the build in microphone or connect an audio device through the 4 pole 3.5 mm jack, this pedal/fx box adds a stereo delay, sample crusher and a repeater effect. Individual delay lengths settings for left and right, bpm, pitch wobble and input gain, all parameters can be saved and conveniently loaded at a later time.

List of Parameters

Bpm: Beats per minute (60 - 240).

Input Gain: Is the signal a bit too quiet, turn it up to 11.

Delay Amount: Amount of feedback.

Delay L: Delay time for left channel, a ratio of the set bpm.

Delay R: Delay time for right channel, a ratio of the set bpm.

Delay Channel Mix: How much the channels feed into each other, from completely separated to ping pong. 

Wobble Amount: Add some imperfections to the delay times. Can create a subtle stereo widening or a wobbly pitch.

Wobble Time: Speed of the pitch wobble.

Wobble Variation: Adds some randomness to the wobble.

Sample Crush: A sample and hold, sample rate degradation.

Repeat: Number of repeats or loop divisions in a bar. 

Time Signature: Number of beats in a bar

Known issues

1. Issue: Noisy and clicky sound signal (sometimes microphone/line in buffers initializes in a state where some frames are missing from the input).

1. Solution: This bug was fixed in Playdate OS 1.13.4. If device has not been updated try to restart the audio engine by clicking the menu button, to open the menu and simply press it again to close it. This will restart the audio for a new chance of success.

2. Issue: Failure to detect change in input method between microphone and line in.

2. Solution: Lock the device and open it again. If that doesn't work, try restarting the app.
